Join us for a fun and creative outdoor activity where kids can learn about wildlife AND make art by creating their own animal footprint stamps!
Wednesday, July 29 🕙 10:00 AM 📍 Maple Grange Park – 36 Maple Grange Rd, Vernon Township, NJ 📍 Meet under the pavilion
This hands-on activity is a great way to explore nature while getting creative. Kids will learn about different animal tracks and turn them into their very own stamp creations!
🐾 How It Works:
- Trace a ¼–½ inch border around your print on thick cardboard (this will be your base).
- Trace your animal tracks onto cardboard multiple times (more layers if using thinner cardboard).
- Cut out the base and footprint pieces.
- Glue the track pieces onto the base (layer to about ½ inch thick if needed).
- Let dry for at least 15 minutes.
- Paint your stamp using a brush and a thick layer of paint.
- Press straight down onto paper and lift straight up to create your print!
🎨 Materials Needed:
Print or drawing of animal tracks
Pencil
Cardboard (preferably thick)
