This Special Meeting of the Township Council of the Township of Vernon was convened at 7:00 p.m. on November 10, 2022 via Zoom Webinar and in the Vernon Municipal Center, 21 Church Street, Vernon, New Jersey with Council President Patrick Rizzuto presiding.
STATEMENT OF COMPLIANCE
Adequate notice of this special meeting has been provided to the public and the press on September 23, 2022 and October 28, 2022 and was posted at the Municipal Building in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A.10:4-7. The purpose of the special meetings will be: to have a public hearing for an application for a cable television franchise renewal – CSC TKR, LLC
SALUTE TO THE FLAG
Council President Rizzuto led the assemblage in the salute to the flag.
ROLL CALL
Present were Council Members Natalie Buccieri, Brian Lynch, Joseph Tadrick and Council President Patrick Rizzuto. Also present were Mayor Howard Burrell, Business Administrator Charles Voelker, Municipal Clerk Marcy Gianattasio and Township Attorney Josh Zielinski.
Council President Rizzuto asked for a motion to recess to wait for the CSC TKR, LLC representative.

PUBLIC HEARING
CSC TKR, LLC - Municipal Consent Renewal
Marilyn D. Davis, Area Director, Government Affairs, Altice USA gave a presentation to the Council and answered questions that were asked. The Council had concerns about maintenance issues and the appearance of the cable equipment. Other concerns that the Council questioned was response time from the cable company and over use of the internet as well as outages. Ms. Davis explained that issues can be looked at remotely if internet or broadband are not functioning. Ms. Davis said that most communities are built out and they cover the entire town. She is not sure if the whole town of Vernon is covered but the company is upgrading their current network and they are committed to building out 25 houses per mile in the area. The Council questioned customer service as far as reaching a person if there is a problem. Ms. Davis was asked if a report can be given to the Council of issues yearly to compare if service is approving.

At 7:38pm Council Member Lynch made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Council Member Buccieri.
