REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
VERNON TOWNSHIP
MUNICIPAL UTILITY AUTHORITY
This regular meeting of the VTMUA convened at 7:10 pm.
Pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act, adequate notice of this regular meeting was provided to the public and the press on January 12, 2025, by delivering to the press such notice and posting same at the municipal building and filed with the office of the MUA as well as posted on the website.

Mr. Rizzuto motioned to open the meeting to the public for agenda items only, which was seconded by Mr. McDermott and carried by unanimous votes. No one from the public wished to speak.
Mr. Rizzuto motioned to close the meeting to the public for agenda items only, which was seconded by Mr. McDermott and carried by unanimous votes.
Mr. McDermott made the motion to enter into Executive Session, which was seconded by Mr. Rizzuto and carried by the affirmative votes of Mr. Kearney, Mr. McDermott, and Mr. Rizzuto.
Mr. McDermott made the motion to enter into Regular Session, which was seconded by Mr. Rizzuto and carried by the affirmative votes of Mr. Kearney, Mr. McDermott, and Mr. Rizzuto.
Mr. McDermott made the motion to approve the meeting minutes from 3.20.25, which was seconded by Mr. Rizzuto and carried by the affirmative votes of Mr. Kearney, Mr. McDermott, and Mr. Rizzuto.
Mr. McDermott made the motion to approve the meeting minutes from 6.19.25, which was seconded by Mr. Rizzuto and carried by the affirmative votes of Mr. Kearney, Mr. McDermott, and Mr. Rizzuto.
Mr. McDermott made the motion to approve Resolution 25-23 Approval of the Bills, which was seconded by Mr. Rizzuto and carried by the affirmative votes of Mr. Kearney, Mr. McDermott, and Mr. Rizzuto.
Mr. McDermott made the motion to approve Resolution 25-24 Acceptance of the 2024 Audit, which was seconded by Mr. Rizzuto and carried by the affirmative votes of Mr. Kearney, Mr. McDermott, and Mr. Rizzuto.
Mr. McDermott made the motion to approve Resolution 25-26 Resolution of the Vernon Township Municipal Utilities Authority Appointing Donelle Bright as CFO, which was seconded by Mr. Rizzuto and carried by the affirmative votes of Mr. Kearney, Mr. McDermott, and Mr. Rizzuto.
Ms. Bright updated that PS2 is completed and closed out.
The sewer service area was approved by SCMUA and the County PAC. This will now move to the County and the next meeting is in September. Once they approve, the County has two weeks to upload the application and GIS mapping to the NJDEP.
Ms. Bright updated on capital projects stating the Work Plan/Budget review for the Sewer Expansion with federal Community Development funds was submitted and is in the review period. The EPA responded with a few minor tweaks we need to make and then we will resubmit.
We are now in the intense engineering point of the projects. We’re planning on going out to bid for all of the locations provided so we can know exactly what is needed. Then we’ll put all out to bid together (most likely grouped) and then a few alternatives to see what it all costs and what it takes to do all the expansions in total.
Mr. Benosky reiterated Ms. Brights updates.
Mr. Benosky stated there was a review for 19-21 Omega Dr.
Mr. Rizzuto motioned to open the meeting to the public for items not on the agenda, which was seconded by Mr. McDermott and carried by unanimous votes. No one from the public wished to speak.

Mr. Rizzuto made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 pm, which was seconded by Mr. McDermott and carried by unanimous votes.
