SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES

VERNON TOWNSHIP

MUNICIPAL UTILITY AUTHORITY

November 14, 2022

These minutes are a synopsis of the meeting that took place on 11/14/2022.  Copies of the recording are available at the office of the Vernon Township Municipal Utilities Authority (the “MUA”).  

1. Call to Order

This special meeting of the VTMUA commenced at 10:03 am.

2. Statement of Compliance

Pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act, adequate notice of this regular meeting was provided to the public and the press on November 9, 2022 by delivering to the press such notice and posting same at the municipal building and filed with the office of the MUA as well as posted on the website.

The following members were present:

Andrew Pitsker

Dave McDermott

Ed DeYoung

Mark Bower

The following members were absent:

Paul Kearney

Kristin Wheaton

Ed Snook

The following professionals were present: Donelle Bright, Administrator/CFO; Jaclyn McCabe, Recording Secretary.

5. Open Meeting for Public Comments

Mr. Bower made the motion to open the meeting to the public for agenda items only, which was seconded by Mr. DeYoung and carried by unanimous votes. Ms. Bright informed there was no attendance from the public.

Mr. Bower motioned to close the meeting to the public for agenda items only, which was seconded by Mr. McDermott and carried by unanimous votes.

6. Resolution:
   1. #22-42 Authorizing Employment with Joseph Vangelakos

Ms. Bright informed an interview was completed with Mr. Vangelakos and he was determined to be a good fit for the sewer repairer position. Mr. Pitsker asked if the background checked out and was informed that it did.

Mr. Bower made the motion to approve resolution #22-42 Authorizing Employment with Joseph Vangelakos, which was seconded by Mr. McDermott and carried by the affirmative votes of Mr. Pitsker, Mr. McDermott, Mr. DeYoung, and Mr. Bower.

7. Adjournment

Mr. DeYoung motioned to adjourn the meeting at 10:10 am, seconded by Mr. McDermott and carried by unanimous votes.
