VOTE ON February 2022 MINUTES

Sally Rinker made the motion to approve the minutes as corrected, Keren Gonen second. All in favor.

ROBERT'S RULES OF ORDER were handed out to the committee for review and discussion.

UPDATE ON 8-20 Black Creek Dr PROPERTY PURCHASE

Jen reviewed a copy of the advisement letter that was sent out, the council voted not to proceed with the purchase at the meeting. The Mayor, later, vetoed and purchased the property without Council approval.

Discussion on how this would impact future development.

Discussion on Marketing the township.

Nick Pirro asked if we had a PR Strategist.
Sally Rinker answers no.
Nick Pirro made the motion to hire a Public Image Representative, Stephanie Munson seconded. All in favor. Will draft a letter of recommendation to the Mayor.
Discussion on the need for a social media policy.
Sally motioned to draft a policy and resolution to present at the next council meeting.
Keren seconded. All in favor.
Proposed special meeting to review/finalize as a group - Jen will confirm a date/time and send out the notice.

Discussion about the EDAC Webpages

Jen advised new photos are needed.
Keren Gonen mentioned Chris Wyman may be able to assist.
Discussion of previous version and adding the Scenic Byway back to the updated draft. Will review updated draft in future meeting.

Discussion on Marketing/Interactive Map

Discussion on Suzanne Ishee, Director of NJIT Hub for Creative Placemaking for digital map at a cost of $28,000.

NEW BUSINESS UPDATES

Jennifer Lubliner stated that there were no new businesses opening this month.
A plot of land by Rudetown Road was purchased by a company from Brooklyn to possibly develop condos/housing and they have sent notices to nearby residences.
