Approval of Minutes
Motion to approve June 5, 2019 minutes made by Denise Urbaniak, seconded by Joyce Brensinger. Motion approve unanimously.
Old Business:
Sidewalk Art Show Recap:
Went very well with a bigger turnout. Expected to grow each year.
Discussion on contacting art teachers in local schools, getting banners/signs, and promote in Warwick, NY for next year.
Vernon Night Out Recap:
Set-up went smoothly and event was going well until the rain started.
Sussex County Fair Recap:
Once again, Mishelle Downtain did a fabulous job on the Vernon Twp. display.
MG Fields Update:
In process of finalizing all the lines that are needed for the fields
Hoping for a mid-October completion
Veterans Memorial Park Playground Update:
Playground needs one more load of mulch to be officially opened.
Bike/Hike/Kite Day:
To be decided
Fall Trail Program:
Mishelle and Denise are working on the schedule; flyers and registration will be ready soon.
New Business:
Trunk or Treat:
October 26th at VTHS. Will need volunteers to help run activities
Turkey Trot 2019:
Route has been mapped, just need to finalize a few details
Flyer and registration will be ready soon
Approved to hold registration at Holy Counselor Lutheran Church
Agreed to raise registration cost to $25.
Snowshoe 5K 2020:
Date set for January 25, 2020. Mishelle and Denise will meet with Mountain Creek representative in October
Sussex County Day:
Mishelle asked for volunteers for the Vernon Twp. table at Sussex County Day on September 15th.
Motion to Adjourn meeting at 8:40 p.m. by Denise Urbaniak, seconded by Kelly Brooks. Motion passed unanimously.
