Old Business:

Snowshoe 5k Recap

Everyone agreed that the event went really well.
Continue the door prize idea for next year
Promote the idea of teams
Start time will be moved up to 9:00

New Business:

Jeanne Buffalino attended the meeting to discuss upcoming events.

Couch to 5K:

May 5, 2019 at Maple Grange Park
Two levels this year - beginners and returners or advanced runners.
She is looking for a family to be the recipient of the funds raised by this event
She is actively soliciting sponsorships, and would like help in getting more sponsors
Items for swag bags: Chapstick, granola bars, Biofreeze, rain ponchos

Volunteers are needed on the day of the race for water stations, registration and general help.

Vernon Day:

June 2, 2019 Rain Date June 9, 2019
Field between Cedar Mountain and Glen Meadow Schools.
It will be held from 11-4
Vendor applications are going out, as well as information for food trucks
Volunteers are needed for that day: especially set up and break down

Future Dates:

Trunk or Treat: Saturday, October 26, 2019. Looking to use Lounsberrry Hollow parking lot again

Tree Lighting: Friday, December 7, 2019

Recreation Activities:

Earth Fest:

Sunday, April 28th at Heaven Hill Farm from 11-4
Volunteers are needed for the recreation table. Our activity this year will be painting and decorating river rocks

Spring Bus Trip:

Kelly Brooks will look into Broadway and more local shows

National Trails Day:

Saturday, June 1st
Photo contest will be held again this year.
Looking into creating a hiking club for beginners “Pavement to Pinwheel”
Each week the hikers would try a different trail. Possibly run from mid-April to end of May
