The regular meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mary Ellen Vichiconti.
Board of Recreation members in attendance: Bill Shapiro, Denise Urbaniak, Mary Ellen Vichiconti, Kelly Weller, Heather Labance, Joyce Brensinger.
Approval of Minutes:
Motion to approve May 8, 2016 meeting minutes made by Denise Urbaniak; motion seconded by Bill Shapiro. Motion approved.
Memorial Day Parade:
Rec board members affixed slips of paper with information regarding upcoming events to the flags that will be distributed at the Memorial Day Parade.
Vernon Day:
An update on Vernon Day plans was given by Denise Urbaniak. She asked for Rec Board members to volunteer the morning of Vernon Day to help with the vendor set-up.
Ongoing Projects:
5K Race—Jeanne Buffalino requested a list of Rec Board members who are volunteering that day.
New Projects/Ideas:
- Kite Day—Bill Shapiro has been researching ideas for a Kite Day to be held in April 2017.
- Bike Day—Heather Labance has been researching ideas.
- Town/Recreation Digital Sign—Bill Shapiro showed a picture of a digital sign that Jefferson Twp. recently installed.
