Announcers booth opened. Names for recognition.

Spring and summer programs were a success. 727 children attended. 608 families participated.

The quarterly report (Mgmt) is now on the township website.

Discussion

Should recreation be self funded in today’s economy? This in response to letter received concerning costs of using the fields.

  1. The cost of $25.00 per field is a cost to reserve the field, not use it. It is a first come, first serve basis.
  2. Discussion continued on a $500 deposit for damage to the field.
  3. Ordinance would need to be looked at and revised by the council.

The recreation department will hold its Halloween Festival from 6-9 on October 31, 2009.
