Statement of Compliance
The following statement of compliance was read by Craig Williams.
Pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, P.L. 1975 adequate notice as defined in Section 3D of Chapter 231, P.L. 1975 has been communicated from the Vernon Municipal Center to the New Jersey Herald and published on January 18, 2007. Notice is also posted on the bulletin board and filed with the office of the Township Clerk.

The roll call of members was called and Dennis Downey, Barrie Beaver (arrived 8:00 p.m.) David Gornstein, Gary Grey and Craig Williams answered the call.
Open Meeting to the Public

Approval of Meeting Minutes
David Gornstein made a motion to approve the March 13, 2007 minutes; Dennis Downey seconded the motion.

Old Business
Town Center/Environs Report
Craig Williams advised that he received a phone call from Joy Farber of ANJEC requesting a copy of the Town Center/Environs Report. Ms. Farber further requested the EC’s permission to use the report as a sample to distribute to interested environmental commissions. The EC agreed to provide ANJEC with a copy of the report and agreed to permit ANJEC to distribute the report.
Planning Board Liaison Report
David Gornstein advised that the PB heard the second part of the Mountain Creek Redevelopment Plan. The March 28, 2007 PB meeting will include a financial analysis of the redevelopment plan.
David Gornstein further advised that the Woodmont Homes application would be heard at the March 28, 2007 PB meeting. The EC discussed the impact of the pending state approvals and the builder’s agreement with the township.
Old Business
Earthfest
Dennis Downey advised that the town council approved $4,500.00 for Earthfest.
Dennis Downey further advised that Austin Carew has been actively seeking canoe launch sites. The EC discussed recruiting interested persons at Earthfest for a spring canoe event.

There being no further items of business for the regular meeting, a motion was made by David Gornstein to adjourn the meeting; Dennis Downey seconded the motion. The regular meeting of the Vernon Township Environmental Commission was adjourned at 8:48 p.m.
